Meetings With the widespread availability of the COVID-19 vaccine we have switched to hybrid meetings, with an in-person meeting at UMBC in Catonsville and a Zoom connection for remote members and others who cannot or choose not to attend in-person. Please be considerate of your fellow cavers. If you don't feel well or have been exposed to anyone with COVID, please join remotely that month. Meetings are always the first Wednesday of every month at 7:30 PM, except December, when the meeting is replaced by a holiday banquet. Congregate in the courtyard in front of the Retriever Activity Building (gym) beforehand. Meetings are normally on the first floor of the Sondheim building, immediately adjacent to the courtyard. Parking is free on the upper deck of the Administration Drive parking garage and on the Hilltop Circle loop after 7 PM. Everyone interested in caving is welcome. Please contact the Webmaster for the Zoom login information if you are not on the grotto listserv and want to join remotely. Check out UMBC's campus map if you are unfamiliar with the campus. A typical meeting consists of: Introduction of guests Trip reports Announcements of outgoing trips A program of some sort The December meeting is replaced by a holiday banquet, normally held on a Saturday. Elections are normally held during the January meeting.
